In the summer of 2011 Deb covered ~370 miles of the TransAmerica Bicycle Route 76 in the RideForJim event in honor of her dad, Jim Young. Dad has been fighting Stage IV lung cancer since April 2010. The RideForJim event raises money for cancer research.
I spoke with Howard smith. They rode 70+ miles today and are settled into a room in harrodsburg. He said the ride was a little hilly but not hard. Kent said it was HIS hardest day so far. He must miss his buddies :)
