I spoke to kent and Howard smith. Howard and Alice just arrived in Berea ky...a 50 mile ride. Kent said its been 82 to 86 degrees the sun is out and there is no rain. Howard said it is beautiful countryside. A lot like home with pasture fields, horses and cattle, wildflowers and creeks. The hills are getting steeper and longer. They are stopping to eat lunch and are thinking of riding even more. Alice said she saw a calf being born! Just dropped out as she rode by. Now THAT is cool!
